Helping Feed Our Community During COVID-19 | #RapidsCares

Green Square Meals, a local non-profit that provides free meals to those in need, has seen a dramatic increase in the amount of people coming to them for help. Due to the school shutdowns and other coronavirus response measures, the number of hungry people coming through their doors has increased from around 100 to 250 or more.

This increase means that they are flying through their supplies, so Rapids stepped in to help our long-term customer fulfill their mission. We donated 8,000 styrofoam containers to help them provide to-go meals that stay hot.

We are proud of everything our community is doing to support each other through these difficult times, and will continue to look for opportunities to give back.
