The Commercial Countertop Deep Fryer
A countertop fryer is a must-have for food-service establishments or restaurants that serve a variety of deep-fried foods such as fried chicken, onion rings, french fries, potato chips, croquettes, and even doughnuts (using a specially designed commercial donut fryer).
One main advantage of using a commercial grade deep fryer, aside from helping cook foods quickly and making them crisp, is that it is designed to fry a large batch of foods throughout the day. This is especially useful in fast-food places, fried-chicken restaurants, and doughnut shops.
The modern commercial countertop fryer typically features a basket used to raise the fried food above the oil when cooking is done. A countertop fryer also comes with advanced features that include alarms, timers, devices that automatically raise and lower the basket into the cooking oil, ventilation systems, oil filters that help make the oil reusable, temperature controls, and more.
What to Consider When Looking for a Countertop Fryer
The first important factor you should put into consideration before going out to purchase a commercial countertop fryer is to make sure that you get the right model that will suit the needs of your food-service business. You should also consider the overall size of the fryer model you want to pick up, as you need to allocate much-needed space on your kitchen’s countertop.
Another important thing to consider is whether you want to get an electric countertop fryer or a gas countertop fryer. A countertop electric fryer has a ribbon-type pot, which features ribbon-shaped heating elements that are submerged in the oil. In contrast, a countertop gas fryer utilizes a standard open-pot design where the heating elements are attached to the outside of the vat.
Regardless of your preference, you should make sure that you get the best gas or electric countertop deep fryer available in the market today.
