Beer Faucet Parts for your Bar
A draft beer faucet is one of the most important parts of your bar's beer dispenser. Why? Because a beer faucet is actually where the last stage of your bar's beer-dispensing process happens.
Because a draft beer faucet is one of the most essential parts of your bar, pub, or tavern's beer-dispensing system, it is important that you use only the best beer faucet parts. This will ensure that your beer faucet will always be in the best working condition. Beer tap parts may consist of a beer tap cover, a beer faucet lock, a beer faucet plug, and a locking flange. Other faucet accessories may also include a jug filler and a draft beer counter.
Beer Tap Covers
Draft beer taps are prone to infestation by fruit flies, especially when left uncovered. They are also vulnerable to yeast and bacteria build-up. That's why it's a good idea to use a beer tap cover to protect your beer dispenser's faucet. Faucet covers are an affordable, simple, but effective way to control the problem of fruit flies and to prevent the growth of bacteria, mold, and yeast both inside and outside your draft beer faucets.
Also, aside from helping eliminate pesky fruit flies and unsanitary yeast, molds, and bacteria by using a faucet cover, it can also be used to effectively prevent your beer faucet from sticking, which is a very inconvenient problem for your bartender, barmaid, and other bar staff.
Beer Faucet Plugs
A faucet plug is similar in function to faucet covers in that they help protect draft beer taps from fruit-fly infestation as well as from yeast, mold, and bacterial growth. Beer faucet plugs are cheap, simple, and—most importantly—they work.
Beer faucet plugs are ideal for use in a beer tap especially when the beer dispenser is not in use. A faucet plug is perfect to use overnight after the bar closes and the beer dispenser is in stand-by mode.
One thing to remember before using a faucet plug is that it needs to be cleaned before insertion into the faucet. This is done by rinsing the beer faucet plug with warm water and then shaking it dry. To insert the faucet plug, push the plug into the inside of the faucet until it firmly seals the opening. To remove, twist the plug and pull it out from the faucet.
After use, the plugs should be cleaned to remove beer residue. This can be done by rinsing the faucet plug in a diluted sanitizing solution and then rinsing before using the plug again.
Beer Faucet Locks
A beer faucet lock will help you save money by preventing unauthorized beer-pouring after your bar is closed. A beer tap lock will keep your bar's draft beer secure as it is designed to prevent the beer faucet handle from being moved forward to dispense the beer. To attach the keg tap lock, you only need to slide the beer faucet lock onto the spigot, and, with a few turns of the key, your draft beer is secure.
All our beer tap locks fit any standard faucet. You may choose from a wide selection of beer faucet locks here at Rapids Wholesale. Our Perlick beer faucet lock in particular is a chrome-plated tamper-proof lock with brass tumbler.
