A Look at Cocktail Units and Cocktail Stations

Cocktail stations can either be small and simple or more advanced to include drain boards and blender stations. The center compartments of cocktail units are an excellent way to hold ice, while the side rails are specifically designed to keep mixers for drinks. Some bar owners even install speed rails to fit along the front of the cocktail station for holding the frequently used liquor bottles. Cocktail units and cocktail stations can either be cold plate or standard.
Cold-plate cocktail units feature circuits under them that are cooled by ice in the center bin. Cold-plate cocktail units are also ideal for serving fountain drinks because you can run the lines under to cool the soda, minimizing the foam is it goes into the glass or mug.
Standard cocktail stations, on the other hand, use foamed-in insulation to keep the ice cold. These cocktail units are usually inexpensive compared to cold-plate cocktail stations.
