Safety First: Products to Help You Protect the Health of your Customers & Employees

Now more than ever, people are putting an emphasis on sanitation and preventing the spread of germs. To help you better protect your customers and your staff, we've put together some products that can help stop germs in their tracks.

Hands-Free Operation

One of the main ways germs are spread is through contact with a contaminated surface. And you can sanitize as much as you like, but some surfaces will still become contaminated faster than you can clean, especially in restrooms. To combat this issue, we have a simple solution: hands-free products!

To ensure your customers and staff are leaving the bathroom cleaner than when they came in, you can install hands-free options that take them all the way through the hand-washing process. To start, we offer a hands-free spout valve - the pushback activation design eliminates the need to turn off the faucet after use. While they do have to touch it to turn it on, after their hands have been washed, they won't have to come into contact with the same surface they touched while their hands were still dirty. Though designed for the handsinks in your kitchen and employee areas, it may be possible to adapt these to your restroom sinks.

There are a number of touchless options for hand-drying, both for paper towel dispensers and air dryers.

The touchless hand dryers we offer from American Dryer come in a variety of configurations, from basic to advanced. The features you can choose from include an antimicrobial-infused air delivery system, energy efficiency (some even qualify for LEED credits!), adjustable sound, and more.

If you prefer paper towels instead, we offer an option with an automatic dispenser. All your customer has to do is activate the motion sensor! We also offer a center pull dispenser - they won't have to touch the dispenser at all to pull out a new paper towel. Both dispensers are made of high impact-resistant ABS materials and include all mounting hardware.

We also offer hands-free door openers. This product comes in two styles - one that allows you to open a door with your forearm, and one that allows you to open a door with your foot. The construction is stainless steel, which means they can handle even high-traffic commercial applications.

Germ Barriers

Germs can also be spread through the air, so when your business requires staff and customers to be in relatively close contact, you should take addtional action.

Basic measures you can take include mandating that your staff wear face masks and gloves when interacting with customers.

We currently offer a pack of 10 disposable face masks, a reusable face mask with an elastic band, a full-length face shield, (more options coming soon), and a wide variety of disposable gloves.

If part of your setup involves a checkout area, cashier shields are a great way to add more protection.

The portable polycarbonate shield is, as you may have guessed from the name, easy to move where it is most needed. It even has a convenient pass-through window at the base of the shield for money, credit cards, etc. If needed, the feet can be secured to your checkout surface using mounting screw holes that have been incorporated into the feet design.

If you don't need the flexibility of a mobile shield, you can also get a shield that can be attached to the sides of your register area. Both of these shields are 30" x 36", made of thick acrylic, and are not pre-drilled for attachment. They only vary in the width of the acrylic: one is 1/4"W and the other is 3/16"W.

Clean, Disinfect, Sanitize

I'm sure you've all heard these terms enough to last a lifetime the past couple of weeks, but the importance of keeping your facility clean cannot be stressed enough. To make the process a littler simpler for you, we've created a cleaning kit that can handle disinfecting most of your non-porous surfaces.

The kit includes (6) 32 oz. bottles of QA sanitizer, (1) spray bottle and nozzle, (1) box of 100 x-large vinyl gloves, and (1) pack of a dozen white terry cloth towels - and if you find you need more of one of these items, they are also available for purchase separately. Some of these products do have a per customer maximum so we can ensure as many of our customers as possible have access to them.

If you have any questions about how to use the QA sanitizer to disinfect your facility, we've broken down the cleaning process into steps.

You can also take steps to emphasize the importance of cleaning and sanitiation to your customers and staff, such as with a strategically-placed SANITIZE or WASH sign.
