Portable Beer Dispensing

Moving your beer from the keg to the glass can be done using either a keg tap or a jockey box

Rapids offers a number of different keg taps, but two of our most popular are the Taprite Pony Pump and the Rapids wing handle Sankey keg tap.

The Pony Pump is small and convenient, and is even a great choice for pump rentals. It will fit any American style single-valve keg, and has a pressure-release vent to prevent over-pumping.

The Rapids keg tap attaches directly to a US Sankey keg, and it is made from metal-plated forged brass, making it a durable and heavy-duty option.

It you anticipate a larger volume, you should go with a jockey box. The American Beverage two-tap jockey box (available either with all stainless steel components or without) has 50' coils that will cool your beer on the way to the faucet. The 48 quart beer cooler has an ABS-molded liner to prevent moisture build-up, and the handles make it easy to transport.

Innovative Pour Solutions

When it comes to dispensing your beer, you have a number of different faucet options from Perlick, a family-owned company dedicated to providing innovative beverage dispensing solutions since 1917.

All of the Perlick faucets in this newsletter are forward-sealing, which prevents your beer from being exposed to the air. It also prevents mold and bacteria build-up. Depending on the beverage you are dispensing, you can choose from either a chrome or a stainless steel forward-sealing faucet.

If you are looking for additional control over your pour, you can choose a stainless flow control faucet that lets you adjust the restriction for hard-to-pour brands or to slow the pour for sampler glasses. 

If the amount of foam you pour is important, you should choose the stainless steel faucet with a push-back creamer. It allows you to finish every pour with the perfect amount of head.

If you want both of these options, we have a faucet for that too! It has both a flow control handle and a push-back creamer.

Once you've chosen your faucet, make sure to grab a few faucet locks to protect your product.

The stainless steel faucet is durable and easy-to-clean while providing consistent performance, and the Sankey D coupler uses a stainless steel probe and is compatible with the majority of domestic beer kegs.

Line Cleaning

After you're done serving for the day, you can clean your beer lines using a combination of our Vantage Synergy beer line cleaner and a cleaning kit.

Vantage Synergy is National Chemicals' non-caustic beverage system cleaner. It can reduce your cleaning time by up to 50%, and it's safe! You can even pour it down the drain when you're done! Learn more about this product and its benefits (some of them straight from the customer) on our blog.

Our beer line cleaning kits come as either economy or heavy-duty. Both include a jar pump assembly, a faucet wrench and brush, and some cleaning solution. The only difference is the lid - the heavy-duty kit has a more rigid, tighter-sealing lid made of thicker plastic. As a result, this kit can create more pressure, allowing it to more effectively clean both kegerators and jockey boxes, as well as longer lengths of beer line. The economy kit is best-suited for simple kegerators and home conversion refrigerators.

Lukewarm Food is the Wurst

Make sure your food warmers and chafers will keep your pretzels, cheeses, and other foods at the optimal serving temperature by coming to Rapids.

The Nemco full-size warmer has a heavy-duty stainless steel well and is quite versatile - it can heat either a 12" x 20" full-size pan or a variety of fractional size pans, which means you can have more than one option! The adjustable thermostat has a temperature range of 120 to 212 degrees Fahrenheit, and the unit is NSF-listed.

The Winco full-size portable chafer is another solid option. It has a collapsible stand that conveniently folds down and reassembles in seconds. The set includes a water pan, food pan, frame, cover, and two fuel holders.

Create a mini-buffet setup for your staff with the Cadco triple buffet server. This will make it easy for multiple staff to serve at once. It has a warming shelf base that can heat three 1/3 size stainless steel pans. Each pan can hold over 20 four oz. servings, and the variable heat control lets you hold products between 155 and 205 degrees Fahrenheit.

Top Off Their Meal with Sauerkraut or Cheese

Most people would be disappointed if your booth didn't offer these sides. What pretzel is complete without cheese? And sauerkraut can be eaten with almost anything you serve at Oktoberfest!

The Nemco 7 quart warmer has an adjustable thermostat so you can set your food at the perfect temperature. The unique heating element design provides even distribution to prevent hot spots, and the stainless steel construction ensures durability and corrosion resistance.

If you want to serve two sides, like chili and and cheese, you should consider the Benchmark dual well warmer. The temperature range allows you to either cook or hold the product. The unit comes complete with hinged inset lids and two 3 oz. long-handled ladles. And at the end of the day, you can throw the pans, lids, ladles, and adaptor plate in the dishwasher for easy cleaning!

Serve Up Potato Pancakes or Sausages with an Electric Griddle

This Cadco griddle requires only 120 volts to run, making it an ideal choice for outdoor settings where more powerful electrical outlets may not be available.
