For operations frying in volume on a single item type — french fries, chicken tenders, donuts — the single 16 lb tank outperforms a split 10 lb two-basket unit for throughput and temperature consistency.
At 3.8kW on 240V, the ACEF-16 delivers the electrical power needed to heat 16 lbs of oil efficiently and recover temperature quickly after a cold food load. The step up from 120V to 240V is the practical tradeoff for this higher output: a 240V circuit is required, but the reward is the heating performance that a 120V unit can't achieve at this oil volume. NEMA 6-20P plug requires the appropriate outlet.
