Because gas fittings in a draft-beer system fit the standard 5/16" ID hose, this particular blue vinyl beer line with 5/16" inside diameter is more suited for use with beer-dispensing systems as a gas line rather than used directly with draft beer. The small inside diameter of this blue vinyl beer hose works perfectly well as a gas line for CO2, nitrogen, and even glycol but is not recommended for the beer or beverage itself because the dispensed beer might prove to be too foamy for consumption because of the increased line resistance of a smaller-diameter hose.
