The Turbo Air TOM 50-7/8"W vertical open display merchandiser is the full-height standard-depth model in the TOM vertical line — a 78" tall open display case that maximizes the number of shelf tiers in the footprint width while maintaining the open-access design that positions grab-and-go refrigerated items for maximum impulse purchase conversion.
At full standing height, the TOM vertical merchandiser presents four adjustable shelf tiers at customer-accessible heights from below-knee to above-shoulder. The 1" shelf increment adjustment allows each tier to be set for the products displayed on it — beverages can be grouped at eye-level tiers where grab frequency is highest, desserts and premium items at eye level for maximum visual impact, and convenience items at lower tiers for customers who actively seek specific products. This deliberate planogramming of shelf heights is enabled by the granular adjustment the 1" increment system provides.
The self-cleaning condenser maintains refrigeration efficiency across high-traffic service periods without manual intervention. In open display merchandisers that see hundreds of access events per day, condenser dust accumulation accelerates relative to closed-door cases — the automatic brushing cycle compensates for this high-fouling environment by keeping the condenser performing at specification continuously.
The energy-saving night curtain closes the full display front during off-hours, reducing the overnight refrigeration load that ambient air intrusion creates in open cases. This energy reduction is substantial for full-height open cases where the display opening is large.
