The Assembled Beer Faucet Shank: A Closer Look
Assembled beer shanks are most commonly found in kegerators. A hose barb (nipple) is incorporated into the shank assembly for attaching the beer line and clamp. In some types of assembled beer shanks, the nipple can be removed, while in others it is attached permanently.
The shanks where the nipple can be remove often include a flare nut and packing gland that helps hold the nipple in place to prevent leaks.

Installation Notes
- The thread-to-thread measurement is 7/8”.
- We recommend a 15/16” bit/hole for a perfect, airtight fit.
- If you are installing a longer shank (10” or more) a 1” hole may help with feeding the shank through the wall. We caution against this as it will result in a looser fit that may be undesirable.
