Black Vinyl Beer Hose from Rapids
This black vinyl beer hose meets or even exceeds all the strict demands of most draft-beer dispensing systems. This black vinyl beer tubing is guaranteed non-toxic, odorless, tasteless, and resists breakdown by beverage acids and cleaning solutions.
This beer line has an inside diameter of 1/2", which means that it's great for use with a beer-dispensing system that exceeds a distance of more than 13 feet from tap to keg. With longer beer lines, you will need to use a beer line with a larger diameter, which means less line resistance. Using a larger diameter of tubing for longer distances (like using a 1/2" ID black vinyl beer hose compared to a 5/16" ID, for instance), is actually better at delivering your beer from the keg to the tap than increasing keg pressure (which would actually lead to improper carbonation of beer and subsequent poor carbonation at the tap, which eventually affects the taste of the beer).
Every hose used in a draft system is meant to convey either liquid or gas from one point to another within the system. This means that either end of the hose needs to be mechanically connected to other parts within the draft-beer system, such as regulators, keg couplers, valves and other parts. This mechanical connection almost always involves a type of clamp to hold the beer hose onto the part in question. There are various clamps that are used in draft-beer systems, but the most important thing to remember is to match the size of the clamp exactly with the diameter of the hose. The clamp size of this beer line is 21.0.
You can also choose from a wide variety of beer clamps here at Rapids Wholesale, which include one-ear hose clamps, plastic hose clamps, worm-drive hose clamps, and two-ear hose clamps.
