American Beverage Plated Brass Beer Tap Shank | 4-1/8" x 1/4" Bore
4-1/8" Complete Shank with 1/4" Bore & Black Plastic Flange
Assembled beer tap shank with one-fourth inside diameter bore is 4-1/8 inches long.
Brass-Plated Faucet Shank
A brass-plated tap shank is ideally used when you want to dispense highly acidic beer or wine because brass will help conduct heat away from your beer faucet faster than even stainless steel. A brass-plated beer shank kit will help keep your beer tap nice and cool for a guaranteed foam-free pour and—by extension—great-tasting beer.
A Closer Look at The Beer Tap Shank
Essentially, the beer tap shank provides a transition between the beer line and the faucet. There are generally three types of faucets: straight beer, nipple, and elbow. Here at Rapids Wholesale, you can choose from a wide variety of faucet shank units and accessories, depending on what you require.
In a nutshell, the functions of a complete beer shank kit are the following: it provides a place to attach the beer line, it provides an attachment point for the faucet using the coupling, it provides a channel for the beer to flow through on its way to the mug, and it provides a conducive mass to help maintain the cold temperature of the beer.

Installation Notes
- The thread-to-thread measurement is 7/8”.
- We recommend a 15/16” bit/hole for a perfect, airtight fit.
- If you are installing a longer shank (10” or more) a 1” hole may help with feeding the shank through the wall. We caution against this as it will result in a looser fit that may be undesirable.
