The Vollrath SLC-1 stainless steel spring-loaded cup dispenser stores one sleeve of cups in the 2-1/4"–2-7/8" diameter range and dispenses via a spring-loaded mechanism that presents cups at the top of the dispenser for removal. The 25-3/4"W x 3-1/8"D stainless unit mounts to a wall or stand.

Spring-loaded cup dispensers and gravity-fed pull-down dispensers both deliver single-cup dispensing, but through opposite mechanisms: spring-loaded dispensers push cups upward for top removal, while gravity-fed pull-down dispensers allow cups to settle at the bottom for pull-down retrieval. The spring-loaded mechanism of the SLC series is preferred in installations where the top of the dispenser is the natural access height — mounted at eye level or below, where reaching to the top of the unit is the natural retrieval motion.
The SLC-1 covers the 2-1/4"–2-7/8" diameter range — the same range as the PLC-1 — for small cup sizes in the 5–10 oz range. The choice between SLC-1 and PLC-1 for a given installation is primarily determined by the mounting height and access orientation: for low-mounted dispensers where cups are retrieved from the top, the spring-loaded mechanism is more natural; for higher-mounted dispensers where a pull-down motion is more ergonomic, the gravity-fed pull-down mechanism is preferred.
The spring mechanism maintains upward pressure on the cup stack as cups are removed from the top, advancing the next cup to the dispensing position automatically. As the sleeve depletes, the spring extends further, maintaining the same top-of-dispenser cup position regardless of how many cups remain. This spring advancement means the retrieval experience is consistent from a full sleeve to the last cup before restocking.
Adjustability accommodates the full 2-1/4"–2-7/8" diameter range — the mechanism can be set to match the specific cup in use, ensuring proper spring-loaded advancement and single-cup release regardless of where within the diameter range the cup falls.
