Ansul Hood Fire Suppression Systems
Make your kitchen hood even more effective by adding an Ansul R-102 Fire Suppression System from Rapids to your installation. This restaurant fire suppression system is a pre-engineered, wet chemical, cartridge-operated regulated pressure type with a fixed nozzle agent distribution network.
This means that if a fire breaks out in your kitchen under your hood, you will have the ability to douse the fire directly from the hood, which can save you valuable time and prevent further damage. It will quickly quench the fire, cool your hot surfaces, and will even create a vapor-securing blanket that will help stop the fire from starting again.
Ansul R-102 can work with a variety of cooking equipment, including fryers, griddles, broilers, range tops, and more. It also detects fire in ventilation equipment.
Electrical Control Packages
Another option to put an end to kitchen fires is our electrical control package.
The electrical panels include color-coded wiring with wiring diagrams, and spare terminals controlled by the fire system microswitch. It is factory pre-wired to shut down supply fans and turn on exhaust fans in a fire condition. The thermal interlock option turns on the fans regardless of the switch position as required per IMC 2006 section 507.2.1.1. FYI: The duct thermostat is shipped loose and should be installed by your electrician in the field.
