A thermal airpot like this one is more energy efficient than keeping coffee warm on a hotplate, plus they make your coffee taste better because it will not continue to "cook" as it does on a hot plate. Made of durable stainless steel and glass lined, these 2.2 liter thermally insulated airpots will keep about 14 cups of beverages either hot or cold for 6-8 hours. Hi-temp limit switch shuts off heat when no water is present and auto-resets when water is added. Tank drain makes these brewers ideal for catering; there is no need to turn upside down to empty. It is recommended that you preheat your airpot before using it by filling with hot water, using the hot-water spigot on the machine, or by doing a "empty" brew cycle, and then emptying the water.
